THINK 20 Keynote Line-up

THREE ADDITIONS TO THINK 20 KEYNOTE LINE-UP BRING TOGETHER BRANDING, MEMBER EXPERIENCE AND DIGITAL BUSINESS EXPERTISE

Presentations by Choi, Gino and King Will Help Grow Credit Unions’ Share of Member Relationship
12/15/2019
- RANCHO CUCAMONGA, California – Chef Roy Choi, Harvard Professor Francesca Gino and Taco Bell CEO Mark King will share insights around branding, member experience and digital business expertise as the latest additions to the THINK 20 speaker line-up.

“Differentiation will go to whomever owns the customer relationship, and that has never been more complex,” said Samantha Paxson, Chief Experience Officer, CO-OP Financial Services. “At the same time, as consumers connect, engage and relate to service providers in new empowering ways, the potential for credit unions to play a more critical role in members’ lives has also never been greater. The personal stories, research and business insights of the THINK 20 speakers we are announcing today – as with all of our content – will help credit union leaders evaluate the difficult, transformational choices needed to deepen relationships with members and grow their institutions.”

“Activate Your Next” at THINK 20 will guide credit union strategy, based on the unique market position and digital maturity of each institution. Taking place May 4-7, 2020, at the Omni Hotel in Dallas, attendees can register immediately by visiting https://co-opthink.org. Registration can be completed at the “Fall Special” rate of $1,299 through January 3, 2020, when the rate will go to $1,699 through March 20, still $300 off the full conference rate.

The latest speakers CO-OP is adding to the conference roster of keynoters are:

Roy Choi. Choi is a chef, entrepreneur and community activist. His authentic style helped him gain prominence as the creator of the Korean-Mexican taco truck “Kogi.” By providing “food that isn’t fancy,” he became at the same time one of the founders of the gourmet food truck movement. His career and his life provides a case study of how to grow and adapt, and empower the underrepresented.

Francesca Gino. Gino is a Professor in the Negotiation, Organization and Markets Unit at the Harvard Business School and author of “Rebel Talent: Why it Pays to Break the Rules in Work and Life.” Gino will provide perspectives on “behavioral approaches to decision-making” that lead to innovation and the courage to make transformative strategic choices.

Mark King. King has been CEO of Taco Bell since earlier this year, having previously served as President of Adidas North America from 2014-18, and President, then CEO, of TaylorMade from 1999. King will provide insights about activating change in organizations based on his more than 20 years as a President/CEO of large companies across a range of industries. According to King’s biography, he “believes in creating the right atmosphere to unleash the potential of people to make extraordinary breakthroughs happen.”

Previously announced keynote speakers at THINK 20 are entrepreneur and author Scott Belsky, Adobe’s Chief Product Officer and Executive Vice President, Creative Cloud; and Rana el Kaliouby, CEO of Affectiva, an emotion measurement technology company that grew out of MIT’s Media Lab.

CO-OP had also announced on November 18 that in honor of “Giving Tuesday,” it would donate $200 to CUAid for every registration for THINK 20 through December 3. As a result of that offer, THINK 20 registrations during this period led CO-OP to donate $12,000 to the CUAid General Disaster Relief Fund.
