Shruti Miyashiro and Theresa Mann Named to Audit Committee of CO-OP

Miyashiro will chair the six-member committee as appointed by CO-OP Chairman of the Board Doug Allman. Miyashiro and Mann join Dave Gunderson, President/CEO of Credit Union of Southern California, Whittier, Calif., as Audit Committee members who are not members of CO-OP's Board of Directors.

"Shruti and Theresa will help ensure that the Audit Committee has an independent perspective on CO-OP's accounting controls and financial reporting, drawing on their great experience in credit union management," said Allman. "We look forward to their work on behalf of the Board of Directors, and benefiting the executive management team and our 3,000 member credit unions."

Miyashiro is President/CEO of Orange County's Credit Union, Santa Ana, Calif., a post she has held since 2007, and where she also held executive positions from 1999-2002. Her 15 year industry career also includes President/CEO of Pasadena (Calif.) FCU. Miyashiro holds a Masters degree in business administration from the University of Redlands (Calif.), and is a graduate of Western CUNA Management School, Ontario, Calif.

Mann is President/CEO of The Partnership FCU, Washington, D.C. Mann was CEO of FDIC FCU starting in 1995, until its merger in 2009 with NSF FCU, when she was appointed President/CEO of the resulting credit union. She is a former chair of the D.C. Credit Union League. With more than 20 years of experience in credit unions, marketing and management, Mann holds a Masters degree in business administration, as well as Bachelor of Science degrees in both management science and marketing from Averett University, Danville, Va.
