- RANCHO CUCAMONGA, California – To provide members with an improved cards experience, San Antonio-based Generations Federal Credit Union is now partnering with CO-OP Financial Services for debit and full-service credit processing. The $570 million credit union is also a participant in CO-OP ATM network.

“Our members consistently tell us they want access to the latest technology innovation when it comes to their everyday financial activities,” said Ken Raymie, President/CEO of Generations FCU. “Debit and credit cards are an important part of our growth strategy, and the CO-OP partnership will make it easier for us to offer the tech-forward, continuously improving payments products our members want.”

Generations FCU (mygenfcu.org) is celebrating 80 years of service in 2020 alongside its nearly 48,000 members. Founded for city employees in San Antonio’s Fire Station #1, the cooperative is now a community-based credit union serving the financial needs of residents in Bexar and surrounding counties.

CO-OP Debit and Full-Service Credit enable credit unions to easily add the competitive, benefit-rich payments products members expect. CO-OP’s services combine analytics, fraud reduction, risk management and loyalty in highly integrated, fully hosted and managed card processing programs. CO-OP ATM is the nation’s largest credit union-owned ATM network, with 30,000 machines available across the country, allowing members of participating institutions to access their accounts without incurring a surcharge.

“With so many in our communities struggling to manage the financial fallout of COVID-19, becoming a member’s primary financial partner is more important today than ever. Generations FCU is placing a strategic emphasis on payments as the path to primary financial relationships, and we’re very excited to help the payments team realize that vision,” said Matt Kardell, Chief Revenue Officer for CO-OP. “The ecosystem of payments and fintech solutions that CO-OP has built makes it much easier for credit unions to deliver experiences that inspire trust and engagement for the long term.”
