Doug Ferraro Of Bellco Cu Elected New Board Of Directors Chairman Of Co Op
DOUG FERRARO OF BELLCO CU ELECTED NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS CHAIRMAN OF CO-OP
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (June 9, 2014) - Doug Ferraro, President/CEO of Bellco Credit Union of Greenwood Village, Colo., has been elected by the Board of Directors of CO-OP Financial Services to serve as the company's Board Chairman.
Ferraro has served as a director on the CO-OP Board since 2010. He has been President/CEO since 1992 of Bellco CU, a credit union with $2.5 billion in assets and 225,000 members. He also serves on the Boards of Open Technology Solutions, Gateway Services Group and Credit Union Direct Connect.
"I congratulate Doug on his election to Chairman of CO-OP," said Terry Laudick, President/CEO, New Mexico Educators FCU, Albuquerque, N.M., who served as Chairman the previous two years. "We are confident Doug will provide fine Board leadership for the industry leader in access and convenience products for credit unions."
In addition to Ferraro, three other credit union leaders were elected to Officer positions on CO-OP's Board of Directors:
- Jeff Napper, elected Vice-Chairman/Chairman-Elect. Napper is President/CEO of LBS Financial Credit Union of Westminster, Calif.
- Allan McMorris, elected Treasurer. McMorris is President/CEO of Oakland County CU of Waterford, Mich.
- Chuck Purvis, elected Secretary. Purvis is President/CEO of Coastal FCU of Raleigh, N.C.
The Board of Directors of CO-OP Financial Services consists of 11 members. In addition to Ferraro, Napper, McMorris, Purvis and Laudick, the six other members of the Board include Tom Dorety, Suncoast Schools FCU, Tampa, Fla.; Shruti Miyashiro, Orange County's Credit Union, Santa Ana, Calif.; Benson Porter, BECU, Tukwila, Wash.; John Radebaugh, Carolinas Credit Union League of Raleigh, N.C.; Lisa Schlehuber, ELFCU, Indianapolis, Ind.; and Patsy Van Ouwerkerk, Travis CU, Vacaville, Calif.
