Newark Mayor Cory Booker Added To Think 13 Line Up Will Speak On Transforming Communities And Credi
NEWARK MAYOR CORY BOOKER ADDED TO THINK 13 LINE-UP, WILL SPEAK ON TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES AND CREDIT UNIONS

CUCAMONGA, Calif. (January 22, 2013) - Cory Booker, Mayor of
Newark, N.J., and nationally recognized advocate for urban
transformation, is now among the featured speakers for THINK 13,
where he will address the topic, "How to Change the World With Your
Bare Hands."
"Mayor Booker is a perfect addition to our speaker roster as this year's THINK conference is zeroing in on how to 'Disrupt Business as Usual,'" said Stan Hollen, President/CEO of CO-OP Financial Services, the organizer of the event. "He has marshaled resources and empowered people to revitalize his city and we're looking forward to learning how Mayor Booker is doing it and how we can apply those lessons to our credit unions."
THINK 13 is being held Mon., April 29-Thurs., May 2, 2013 at the Swissotel in Chicago. Registration is open at www.co-opthink.org. Early bird registration is available through Jan. 31 at $549 for credit union personnel and at $679 thereafter. Registrants may also select from four charity activities ranging from $100-$150, with proceeds going to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Booker was elected Mayor of New Jersey's largest city in July 2006 and reelected in 2010. Initiatives under his tenure have resulted in substantial crime reduction, expansion and improvement of the city's parks and playgrounds, and increased affordable housing. The Mayor received his B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University, a B.A. in Modern History at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, and completed his law degree at Yale University.
