    that work together to ensure that only legitimate debit authorizations occur.
  • Level 2: Cardholder Protection uses specific cardholder data to perform validation and edit checks during the authorization process.
  • Level 3: Dispute Processing & Fraud Recovery, leverages the knowledge and resources of CO-OP for handling disputes and chargebacks for signature debit transactions, ensuring adherence to stringent network regulations and relieving your staff of these complex, time-consuming tasks.

Host Authorization – All transactions are sent to the core processor for authorization. CO‑OP performs negative file stand-in authorization for periods when the host is unavailable.

Cooperative Authorization – CO‑OP validates the transaction and performs edit checks before passing the transaction to
the core processor for final authorization. CO-OP stands in when the host is unavailable.

Complete Authorization – CO‑OP performs all authorization functions on behalf of the host.  The host sends CO-OP daily batch files providing up-to-date cardholder and balance information. CO-OP updates the host with a daily posting file reflecting the day’s authorized transaction activity.
